Very basic for the price...

Literally, just a book of maps (duh). No text to explain anything, except for the labels to the countries.
For $40 it was a little bit pricey, but I needed this exact edition for my college class. I wish it was cheaper because the graphics and colors of the actual map is very standard/basic. The layout of the book is very basic as well because it seems like any other 'cheaper' atlas. The words are very small for some countries, but everything is labeled. In conclusion, this atlas is pretty mediocre.....If you don't need this -exact- atlas, I would invest in another one.
Not a whole lot of resale value, for my school at least because we need the mygeographylab code. Oh well!

The definitive small sized atlas

If you need a good atlas that is portable, this is the one to buy. The maps are detailed and cartographically excellent, showing both topographic shading and elevation by color. Urbanized areas are shown by a red splotch. There are myriad thematic maps. The index is exhaustive and Includes pronunciation guides and latitude and longitude information. The only improvement suggestion I have found is the need to include Cheji-do island on the Korea map, page 243, perhaps as an inset.

Very comprehensive and easy to use

Very comprehensive and easy to use! It covers all the maps and information that you would expect in a world atlas, with a large enough format to keep it readable. It will even stay open on its own when laid flat. One additional plus is that the larger maps aren't squeezed into the crease, but if the map extends across 2 pages, they left narrow, white borders that allow the entire map to show. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase!
